Job Summary

Virtua, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Supervision: Participate in the planning and supervision of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective exercise interventions.
  • Collaboration with Clinicians: Collaborate with other clinicians to interpret telemetry data and establish individualized exercise prescriptions for patients.
  • Patient Safety: Ensure patient safety in the use of exercise equipment and monitor patient vitals during exercise.
  • Care Management: Manage all aspects of care for patients enrolled in Supervised Exercise Training for PAD, including hemodynamic and physical measurements.
  • Emergency Management: Assist in emergency management situations, within the scope of practice.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in maintaining data on patient outcomes and contribute to departmental projects for performance improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science from an accredited school or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or fitness setting.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications, completion of EKG course, and ACSM certification preferred.
