Job Title: Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist

Job Type: Full-time

Description:

Lorenz Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a licensed mental health professional, you will provide psychological services to young children and their families in an outpatient setting.

The Role:

In this role, you will engage in regular consultee-focused case consultation, maintain a rich schedule of continuing education events, and have the opportunity to earn 100 CEUs per year. You will also have pay and caseload size options and choice, and your clients will mostly be assigned based on your passion, interests, and competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, psychological testing, and discharge planning for patients ages 0-5
  • Carry patient caseload as assigned
  • Attend and participate in monthly case consultation, Grand Rounds, business meetings, and other meetings as required
  • Compliance with clinic documentation standards
  • Compliance with relevant statutes, licensing board rules, and codes of ethics

Requirements:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in a mental health profession from an accredited academic program
  • Full, independent, unrestricted licensure as a mental health professional in Minnesota (LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC)
  • DC: 0-5 competence
  • Exposure to models like Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), TF-CBT, PCIT, Floortime, Circle of Security, or Developmental Repair strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years providing clinical supervision (preferred)
  • Formal training in child, couples, or family therapy (preferred)
