Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic educator to take on the role of a full-time 5th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Countryside Academy. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in elementary education or a keen interest in pursuing a teaching career, alongside a genuine passion for nurturing young minds and contributing positively to our academic community.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and execute lesson plans tailored to accommodate the diverse needs of all learners.
2. Establish a supportive and secure classroom atmosphere that promotes educational growth.
3. Regularly assess and monitor student development through various evaluation methods.
4. Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and behavior.
5. Collaborate with fellow educators to coordinate school-wide activities and initiatives, including working with intervention staff, English Learners staff, and the Special Education team.
6. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching methodologies and expertise.
7. Keep precise records and documentation related to student performance and conduct.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by school administration.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited institution or a bachelor’s degree with the intention of obtaining teacher certification through an alternative program (sponsored by the academy).
- Candidates must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this role with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (K-5 all subjects).
- Previous experience in teaching elementary grades is preferred.
- Strong understanding of elementary education curriculum and instructional techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to maintain a constructive and secure classroom environment for all students.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:
