Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. in Boylston, MA. This is a 10+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient and accurate prescription processing and dispensing.
  • Oversee record keeping and licensing to guarantee accuracy and compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Review, update, and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
  • Report prescription audit results and trending on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and update all necessary reference materials.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with third-party logistics partners.
  • Communicate with customers to verify prescriptions, supplies, or support services required by patients.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service personnel to perform/verify order entry quantities from customer data systems.
  • Ensure all required documentation is maintained, including exception reporting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes by providing input for procedural changes.
  • Assure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance, and JCAHO standards, local state and federal regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs), if applicable.
Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Key Skills: Pharmacist, pharmacy license.
  • B.S. or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • An active pharmacy license in good standing in the dispensing pharmacy location.
  • Job experience in Drug Distribution preferred.
