Job Overview

Epic Aircraft is a leading manufacturer of high-performance aircraft, and we're seeking a skilled Aircraft Detailer/Painter Assistant to join our Paint and Body Shop Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with bodywork, priming, sanding, blocking, skimming, and masking
  • Operate body shop tools and spray equipment
  • Apply fillers, resins, epoxy, polyurethane, and urethane primers
  • Cut and buff fresh clearcoat
  • Fix dust or debris in clearcoat
  • Correct runs and polish blends
  • Perform small spot-ins for burns, chips, or scratches
  • Complete all paperwork
  • Help painters set up for painting parts
  • Wash parts
  • Fix masking
  • Inspect primed parts for defects prior to paint
  • Prep parts between coats of paint
Requirements
  • Prior bodywork and/or painting experience on aircraft or in the automotive field
  • Cutting and buffing or painting experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a great attitude
  • High standards for following instructions, detailed work, and work quality
  • Able to stand for extended periods and move about the facility as needed
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, and driven individual
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
