Job Overview

We're looking for a motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years' experience in landscaping to oversee our crew's daily activities, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all employees attend weekly tailgate meetings to discuss job site hazards and review safety procedures;
  • Confirming employees are operating safely at all times, including reviewing potential traffic hazards and performing regular safety checks;
  • Maintaining a hazardous communication folder with relevant forms for chemicals used on the job site;
  • Reporting any reckless or dangerous activities to the Job Superintendent and notifying the Safety Office of accidents and submitting incident reports according to company policy;

You'll also be responsible for using hand and power tools to perform various landscape and irrigation duties, such as laying sod, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installing sprinklers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in landscaping;
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards;
  • Ability to lead and direct a crew of 2-4 people;
  • Practice workplace safety;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills;
  • Experience working from elevated heights and using manual hand tools like shovels;
  • 6 months commercial landscaping experience preferred but not required;
