Tolunay-Wong Engineers is looking for candidates to fill the role of Field Operations Technician within our Field Services Division.

This role involves the assessment and examination of various construction materials, including but not limited to soils, concrete, and pile monitoring. We welcome both experienced and novice applicants, as comprehensive training will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Driller in all field operations, which may include drilling and sampling of geotechnical and environmental test borings, as well as the installation and decommissioning of wells.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks assigned by the Driller, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager.
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of all TWE equipment and field processes.
  • Oversee the functionality of TWE equipment to identify any maintenance or repair requirements.
  • Assist with equipment and workshop upkeep as necessary.
  • Complete all mandatory documentation, including daily logs, safety forms, and vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Participate in all safety meetings and adhere to TWE and client safety protocols.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized work environment, including job site and equipment areas.
  • Submit all required documentation to the office on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Willingness to undergo an initial, random, and annual hair follicle drug screening.
  • Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Capability to perform work duties in various weather conditions.
  • Able to execute physical changes and conduct maintenance on equipment, which may involve heavy lifting.
  • Commitment to working diligently and taking responsibility for tasks, regardless of their scale.
  • Ability to foster positive and professional relationships with clients.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Availability for frequent travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of a TWIC card.
  • Basic Plus certification.
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification.
  • Mechanically inclined.
