As a key member of our Infrastructure and Computing Department, you will be responsible for leading our student computer support program, ensuring the year-to-year viability of the program, and providing expert advice and solutions to complex computer problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot undergraduate student computer hardware and software problems, TV issues, smart devices, gaming consoles, and printers
  • Assist graduate and undergraduate students with connecting to college resources remotely
  • Resolve malware/virus problems on undergraduate student computers
  • Configure various software applications
  • Provide exceptional customer support via walk-ins, email, phone, and IT Helpdesk software
  • Update computer skills and knowledge via continuing education
  • Maintain all equipment and software under secure conditions
  • Supervise and monitor G-Tech troubleshooting and services in designated office
  • Oversee student workers to assist with the above responsibilities
  • Maintain IT Knowledgebase
  • Support and assist with campus-wide hardware deployment as required
  • Assist with IT Help Desk and telephone coverage as needed

Requirements

  • High school degree (or equivalent) and two years of college or technical training in computers and network systems
  • Two years of hands-on experience troubleshooting Apple and Windows hardware and software
  • Familiarity with computer network components and troubleshooting wireless, wiring, user accounts, and printing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work as a team and deliver excellent customer service
