This position is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a clinic setting. The successful candidate will facilitate effective communication and coordination of care between patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Job Functions:- Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain vital signs, and document patient histories in the electronic medical record.
- Conduct telephone assessments of patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment under the supervision of a provider.
- Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments in accordance with clinic policies.
- Prepare equipment and assist providers during examinations, testing, and treatment of patients.
- Maintain stocked supplies, sterilize instruments, and perform room turnover in patient rooms.
- Arrange referrals and prior authorizations as necessary.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Graduate from a School of Nursing
- 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Skills in assessment of patient condition and taking vital signs
- Ability to meet and maintain necessary background checks
- Skills in preparing and maintaining records and reports
- Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Ability to multi-task and respond to unpredictable situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or a permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
