About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a DBA, you will play a critical role in maintaining database integrity, security, availability, and compliance with business processes throughout the life cycle. Your expertise will be instrumental in performing disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring. Additionally, you will evaluate and recommend database management system products, perform database and application server administration, and organize and format data for efficient query and storage.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge in use of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, Postgres
  • Ability to create and maintain bash scripts to dump and load databases, as well as perform various maintenance tasks
  • Experience with SQL agent jobs for MSSQL, installing software on Linux platforms, and RedHat Ansible
  • Ability to identify management via Active Directory and Centify, use Salt to deploy config files to end nodes, and perform interrogations (Ping, DNS)
  • Experience with NxLog, SALTSstack, Wazuh, NIFI for reading end node logs, HAproxy load balancer, and Ranger/Docker for configuring containerized applications
  • Ability to request, renew, and install/update PKI certs, convert from pkcs12 to various formats, and basic familiarization with nLyte and NEO datacenter inventory management application
  • Experience with Kubernetes for configuring open-source platforms for container orchestration, container management, and app packing/scheduling, load balancing, storage orchestration, advanced logging/monitoring/debugging
  • Experience with Vcenter/Vsphere for building VMs, Wazuh, Nxlog, and Saltstack for deploying config files to end nodes and various interrogations, GIT, and HAProxy load balancer

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is between $114,000 to $164,000, based on the location, relevant prior work experience, education, specific skills, and certifications.
