Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Box Butte General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other disciplines, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing, and addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Assume a leadership role, coordinating the care of patients, and supervising and guiding other nurses as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care transitions and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, technologies, and research, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved Registered Nursing Program.
  • Current Nebraska RN license or license from a participating Compact State.
  • BLS for healthcare workers.
  • ACLS within one year of hire to position.
  • PALS OR ENPC within one year of hire to position.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit or department needs.
