We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our sub-acute unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment to diagnose and treat respiratory disease and/or illness.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate respiratory care equipment, including ventilators, oxygen devices, and nebulizers, to administer prescribed treatments and medications.
- Conduct chest physical therapy treatments, including percussion, postural drainage, and suctioning, to mobilize secretions and mucus in the lungs.
- Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, including vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes.
- Perform pulmonary function tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited school of respiratory therapy.
- Current, verifiable Respiratory Care License in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Knowledge of OBRA and Title XXII guidelines for LTC.
- Ability to speak Spanish or other non-English languages is helpful but not required.
- A competitive salary range of $30 to $33 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
