Job Opportunity

ACLD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional in a residential setting. Our mission is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to residents in achieving their personal goals and exceeding their expectations.
  • Offer structure and emotional support to help residents navigate daily challenges.
  • Assist in resolving behavioral issues and promoting a positive living environment.
  • Help residents with personal hygiene needs and daily living tasks.
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation to ensure seamless care.
  • Transport program participants to medical appointments and recreational activities using Agency vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Clean, valid NYS Driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled populations preferred; training provided.
  • Must obtain and maintain AMAP and SCIP certifications within six months of hire.
  • Prior experience as a Caregiver, Care Assistant, or similar role is a plus.
