We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a Garbage Truck Collection Helper. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste in our service area.

Responsibilities

As a Garbage Truck Collection Helper, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and loading refuse from customer locations into a heavy-duty sanitation vehicle

• Assisting the driver while maneuvering into positions for collection and disposal

• Maintaining and participating in daily clean-up of the vehicle

• Learning garbage routes to better assist the driver

• Attending all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings

Work Environment

As a Garbage Truck Collection Helper, you will spend most of your day in the cab of the truck, on the back of the truck, or moving around the truck for trash collection. You must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the work day. You will also be required to constantly lift, push, and pull waste bags and receptacles that weigh approximately lbs. as part of your daily routine.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States

• Meet physical standards as specified above

• Have experience from the sanitation industry (strongly preferred)

• Possess a team-player attitude as the job is spent in close quarters with other staff members that all rely on one another
