Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse I PRN role involves assessing, planning, directing, implementing, and assisting in delivering quality patient care. This position requires flexibility, with a commitment to working a minimum number of shifts per the RN PRN Workplan agreement. Key responsibilities include modifying nursing care, medication administration, discharge planning, and education directed towards individualized patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing patient condition and modifying nursing care as needed
  • Providing education to patients on their treatment plans and promoting self-care
  • Collaborating with patients to identify treatment plan goals and discharging patients as appropriate
  • Delivering quality care by using multi-disciplinary team strategies and minimizing the risk of infection or harm
Requirements:
  • Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between the State of Texas and another state within 90 days
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse
Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year (based on location and experience)
