Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Union Hospital Therapy. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, particularly in the pediatric population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and evaluate speech and language skills in patients with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and address related social, emotional, and psychological factors.
  • Provide counseling and guidance to patients and their families to promote effective communication and language development.
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessments and tests to identify communication disorders and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure and certification in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other software applications to document patient information and communicate with colleagues.
