Job Summary

The Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Cath Lab Recovery Specialist. As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures, while also supervising and providing feedback to the Director regarding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans for patients in the Cath Lab Recovery area.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Supervise and provide feedback to the Director regarding patient care and unit operations.
  • Collaborate with the patient, family, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in cross-training to assist in the Hybrid OR, EP Lab, Heart Recovery, and Non-invasive procedures.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
  • RN licensure in the State of Texas or Compact State
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse
  • Minimum of Diploma in Nursing required
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCRN or Cardiac Specialty Nursing Certification
  • Knowledgeable of age-appropriate medication dosages and medications commonly used in critical care
  • Knowledgeable of hemodynamic monitoring and intra-aortic balloon pumping
  • Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
