Private Duty Nurse Home Health Opportunity

Aveanna Healthcare LLC is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) for 1:1 homecare positions. This opportunity offers flexible schedules, benefits, paid time off, and weekly pay.
Job OverviewThe LPN/LVN provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position requires adherence to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.
Responsibilities- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
- Participate in and update the nursing care plan.
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
- Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills, and skill evaluations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
- South Carolina: One year of pediatrics experience.
- California: One year of experience working under current nursing license.
- Louisiana: One year of experience working as a licensed nurse.
- Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Home health experience.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must be able to travel.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
- Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
- Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
- Must have visual and hearing acuity.
- Must have strong sense of smell and touch.
$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
