Echocardiogram Technician

Job Summary:

At Saint Vincent Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technician to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring echocardiogram procedures, calculating and measuring appropriate values, and documenting results for review and interpretation by physicians. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with physicians, managers, and co-workers to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform echocardiogram procedures using departmental protocols for obtaining images
Calculate and measure appropriate values, documenting results for review and interpretation by physicians
Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers to ensure seamless patient care
Assist with TEEs and stress testing, providing images that support physician diagnosis
Identify problems and implement appropriate interventions, including reporting critical values

Requirements:

Graduate of accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography school, or at least 6 months of clinical experience
Registry eligible and BLS
Preferred: 2 years of experience and RDMS, RDCS, or RCS certification
