Job Overview

Midas HENDRICKSON is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Director to manage and direct all service department activities of a retail store engaged in selling tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services. This position is a Store Manager developmental role.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Delivery: Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting customers, following up with customers on requested services, estimated completion times, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Service Operations Management: Oversee complete vehicle inspections, make comprehensive recommendations, build computerized repair orders, source parts, deliver pricing estimates to customers, and promote shop service specials.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and train a team of technicians, keeping in tune with our company's vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed. Supervise up to ten employees.
  • Tech Support and Inventory Management: Oversee technicians' inspections, diagnosing, and repairing domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks. Maintain inventory counts and ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the facility.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of store or service manager experience.
  • General automotive knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service disposition.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Leadership ability.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
