About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. in the Emergency Department. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all ages, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer direct patient care to patients processed through the Emergency or Stress lab department
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and a Stress Lab supervising physician
  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures
  • Document interventions and complete delegated tasks as per physician order under the direction of the RN
  • Assure discharge vital signs and report any change of condition to the RN within 30 minutes prior to discharge
Requirements:
  • Active State of Georgia Paramedic license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in patient care setting as a trained paramedic
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary setting (physicians, nurses, technical staff)
Physical Demands:
  • Weight Lifted: Up to 100 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time
  • Weight Carried: Up to 50 lbs, Frequently 31-65% of time
  • Vision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time
  • Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Occasionally 0-30%
  • Standing/Walking: Constantly 66-100%
  • Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%
  • Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%
