Orthodontic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Oak Dental Partners. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our orthodontic team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist orthodontists in chair-side procedures, including taking radiographs and setting up and breaking down operatories.
- Provide excellent patient care, including greeting and escorting patients, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and collecting and verifying patient demographics.
- Assist with sterilization and maintenance of equipment and materials, adhering to OSHA, federal, and state guidelines.
- 0-5 years of experience in a dental or orthodontic setting.
- Vocational or technical training or an Associate's degree in a related field.
- Radiology certification and DPH Dental Assistant License.
- Familiarity with dental software, email, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Experience with orthodontic records, including study models, X-rays, and digital photographs.
- Proficiency in 1BA, adjustments, FCDB, and Debands.
- Ability to fit headgear and give instructions.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work with patients with special healthcare needs, including those with cognitive and developmental deficits.
