Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Providence Service. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images and related data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal organs and tissues.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • National certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • 2+ years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
