Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Compound Technician to join our team under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The ideal candidate will prepare and package medication and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients, perform record-keeping functions, assist with inventory control processes, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Selects, picks, packages, and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with Coram CVS specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
  • Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling procedures. Preparation and compounding of sterile products. Maintain the pharmacy clean room suite to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
  • Complete appropriate documentation for inventory management and storage, including labels, log sheets, and reports. Accurate counting of drugs utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
  • National Pharmacy tech certification preferred
  • Experience with sterile compounding, especially TPN
