At Generations Behavioral Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inpatient Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, psychological, and social needs of our patients are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention

Conduct thorough assessments of individual patients' psychosocial needs, financial limitations, and acute treatment requirements.

Crisis Prevention and Intervention

Provide short-term crisis intervention and support to patients and families as needed.

Community Resource Coordination

Assist patients and families in accessing community resources for post-hospital care, including Medicaid applications and other assistance services.

Discharge Planning

Monitor patient progress toward discharge and ensure completion of requirements within expected length of stay.

Requirements
  • LSW in Ohio required, LISW preferred, or Licensed Independent Counselor (LPCC)
  • In-depth knowledge of psychotherapy methods and available community resources
  • Understanding of resiliency and recovery in mental illness and substance abuse, and treatment approaches and techniques
Additional Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and other software applications
