We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training and Development Specialist Registered Nurse to join our team at Planned Parenthood. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing training programs for our clinical staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Training and Development: Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new clinical staff, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Health Center Associates.
- Needs Assessment: Work with organizational staff and leadership to identify training needs and develop targeted interventions.
- Training Materials: Create a wide range of training materials, including instructor-led trainings, instructional guides, self-learning materials, eLearnings, and conference presentations.
- Program Evaluation: Develop and implement evaluation systems to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of training provided.
- Proctoring and Privileging: Oversee proctoring and privileging for non-clinician staff.
- Travel and On-Site Training: Travel to Planned Parenthood locations to provide initial and ongoing on-the-job training and evaluation for staff.
- Job Proficiency: Work a minimum of one health center shift at a Planned Parenthood site monthly to maintain job proficiency.
- Employee Engagement: Role model, communicate, teach, and celebrate Planned Parenthood's In This Together employee engagement and patient experience framework.
- Training Effectiveness: Develop and maintain systems for evaluating the effectiveness of all training efforts across the organization.
- Education and Experience: Registered Nurse with a current license in MN, IA, and NE or ability to obtain before start date. One year of RN experience and BLS certification required.
- Skills and Knowledge: Experience effectively training and supporting new employees. Working knowledge of technology necessary to perform job function, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
