Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with a focus on travel assignments. This role requires a dedicated professional with the necessary certifications and experience to excel in various surgical environments.

Certification Requirements
  • National Certification: NBSTSA required
  • Additional Certifications: BLS, IAHCSMM
Job Responsibilities
  • Possession of an active WA license is mandatory for submission.
  • Open to candidates with less than 2 years of experience, particularly first-time travelers with relevant skills.
  • Floating between departments is a requirement.
  • On-call duties include three weeknight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM and three weekend shifts from either 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM, scheduled over a 6-week period. A 30-minute response time is expected when called.
  • Experience with a diverse patient demographic, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Critical Experience: Must have vascular and thoracic surgical experience.
  • Involvement in various surgical specialties such as General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal Surgery, Podiatry, ENT, Dental, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, Thoracic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Pulmonary, Urology, Vascular, Endovascular/Hybrid, and Transplant Surgery (Liver, Kidney).
Essential Skills
  • Experience in Ambulatory OR settings, Teaching Hospitals, and Trauma (preferred).
  • Proficiency in General OR, Bariatrics, Endo/Laparoscopic, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Thoracic, Transplant, Urology, Vascular, and specific surgical procedures such as Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, and Endovascular Aneurysm Repair.
  • Scrubbing Skills: Required for all surgical procedures.

As part of the role, you will be expected to adhere to the outlined call requirements and be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of the surgical team.
