Leidos is seeking qualified licensed behavioral health professionals to be part of our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) Child and Youth Behavioral team.

Position Overview:
This role is designed to provide essential support to military families, particularly focusing on children and youth. The position operates within a school calendar framework, aligning with the academic year.

Role Responsibilities:
The Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) plays a critical role in delivering non-medical support, which encompasses:

  • Engaging with military youth and teens in school settings.
  • Participating in activities with children and adolescents while offering guidance and support to staff and parents.
  • Delivering presentations aimed at enhancing social skills and emotional learning.
  • Building relationships with families through community involvement.
  • Assisting with transitions related to new schools and homes.
  • Attending training sessions and contributing to team discussions regarding trends and challenges.

Additional Duties:

Work Environment:
Duties will be performed in both indoor (approximately 60%) and outdoor (approximately 40%) settings, with indoor activities primarily taking place in educational institutions.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A master's degree or higher in a relevant behavioral health field.
  • Licensure for independent practice in any U.S. state.
  • U.S. citizenship and a valid passport.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances.
