Sonographer Senior

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a highly skilled Sonographer Senior to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality ultrasound images and providing exceptional patient care.

• Work in concert with radiologists to obtain high-quality ultrasound images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department
• Prioritize workflow in regard to patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure
• Provide an atmosphere conducive to patient cooperation and confidence
• Utilize data received from patient satisfaction and practice performance results to identify opportunities for improvement

• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3 years of experience required, 5 years of experience preferred
• Sonography Certification in 3 body parts required

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are required. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to radiation.
