Company Overview
Integer Technologies LLC is a pioneering organization dedicated to applied research and innovative product development. Founded by a team of dedicated scientists and engineers, we focus on advancing technology and enhancing national security. Our work primarily involves research and development for next-generation systems tailored for the Department of Defense (DoD) and various U.S. Government agencies, transforming cutting-edge research into practical solutions with both military and commercial relevance.
Our expertise in power and energy systems is critical to supporting the electrification of military platforms, including naval vessels. We delve into research surrounding hybrid and electric propulsion systems, extensive energy storage solutions, power conversion technologies, and the integration of these systems with mission-critical applications to ensure rapid and reliable power responses.
Position Summary
The role of the Electrical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer demands a robust understanding of real-time simulation techniques for electrical power systems, power converters, electric machines, and their control mechanisms. Candidates should possess a comprehensive grasp of the multi-faceted physics that govern power system components and be adept at maintaining virtual models of these systems for applications such as health monitoring, diagnostics, prognostics, and advanced control strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with controller hardware-in-the-loop (CHIL) systems, where the controller of a physical power system operates in tandem with a real-time simulation model. Additionally, familiarity with power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) testing, which involves evaluating real power hardware at full-scale power and voltage levels, is essential.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to professional growth, consistently enhancing their skills and knowledge to stay at the forefront of technology. Organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial, as this role may require interaction with clients whose requirements are dynamic and sometimes challenging to articulate. Strong communication abilities will be an asset.
Integer Technologies LLC is committed to tackling complex challenges that currently lack established solutions. All candidates must be capable of conducting research, assimilating new concepts from various engineering disciplines, and documenting their findings in an accessible manner for non-experts.
