We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team at an Award-Winning Commercial General Contractor in Southern California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all onsite construction activities from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, ensuring all work is performed according to plans and specifications.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
- Manage and resolve RFIs and other project-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use project management software such as MS Project, Procore, and Bluebeam to plan, track, and report on project progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are being met and to identify any potential issues or risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Lead and participate in project meetings, providing regular updates on project status, and communicating any changes or issues to all relevant parties.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial construction industry, with a strong track record of successfully completed projects.
- Proven experience in managing a range of commercial construction projects, including retail, hospitality, fuel stations, open store remodels, and fast food chain construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Proficiency in using project management software such as MS Project, or Procore.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve RFIs and other project-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
- A strong attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough site inspections and ensure quality standards are being met.
- Must be comfortable with required travel throughout California based on project needs.
