A Lead Research Scientist in Medical Imaging role is available at EDDA Technology, Inc. The key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and validating deep learning algorithms for 3D and 2D segmentation and registration challenges in medical imaging;
  • Defining, developing, and validating clinical applications;
  • Rapid prototyping of modules for image and video analysis products;
  • Collaborating closely with clinical partners to address real-world challenges;
  • Adhering to the company's standards and procedures for product development;
  • Effectively communicating with project managers and team members regarding project execution;
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in Deep Learning and/or Medical Image Analysis;
  • Proficiency in coding and the ability to swiftly prototype Deep Learning models is essential;
  • Robust algorithm development skills with comprehensive knowledge in medical image analysis/segmentation, image registration, computer vision, deep learning, real-time processing, and GPU programming;
  • Preferred experience of 3+ years in related fields, with excellent software engineering skills in C/C++; additional software skills in Python, Pytorch, TensorFlow, and Keras are advantageous;
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and large vision models (LVMs) is beneficial;
  • Experience in processing ultrasound images is a plus;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with quick implementation and verification; a strong team player who is highly self-motivated and eager to learn;
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English are required;
  • PhD in CE/EE/CS/Bio-Engineering.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of human anatomy and medical image interpretation is a plus;
  • Hands-on experience and familiarity with DICOM is advantageous.
