Cloud Infrastructure Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to join our team at Simmons Pet Food Inc.

This is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $125,000.

About the Role:

The Cloud Infrastructure Strategist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our use of multiple cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and efficient resource management across different providers like Azure, AWS, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

Focusing on reducing dependency on a single provider to avoid vendor lock-in, implementing consistent security policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring performance to maintain optimal reliability and performance across all cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploying, configuring, and managing resources including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Storage Sync Services, Resource Groups, and Tagging in Azure.
• Implementing effective backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for Azure-hosted applications, and monitoring and maintaining security and performance.
• Managing RBAC and policies to secure Azure resources and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
• Deploying, configuring, and managing resources such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and VPC in AWS.
• Implementing robust backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for AWS-hosted applications, while also monitoring and maintaining security and performance.
• Managing IAM roles and policies to secure AWS resources and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
• Configuring and maintaining OIC integrations, adaptors, and components to support enterprise applications.
• Exceling in managing and troubleshooting OIC interfaces to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Developing integration flows, monitoring data flows, and performing performance tuning.
• Using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and operational tasks.
• Developing and maintaining scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for administration and automation purposes.
• Setting up and managing monitoring tools for OIC, AWS, and Azure to proactively address issues and ensure service reliability.
• Conducting root cause analysis on incidents, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing resolutions, ensuring compliance with SLAs and collaborating with support teams to provide solutions.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards related to data security and privacy.
• Participating as a member of the Team, participating in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinating work to ensure best practices with all team members.

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Engineering, IT Architecture, or in a similar role.
• Premium for food processing organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree/work experience, or 4 years related experience.
• Preferred: MS degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree. Multiple Cloud Architecture relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Engineer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure Administrator).
