POSITION: Litigation Associate
ROLE SUMMARY: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is on the lookout for a driven and proactive Litigation Associate to enhance our Trial Department. This individual will be instrumental in championing our clients' interests, both in and outside the courtroom. A commitment to providing exceptional legal services is essential.
This position operates in a hybrid model, primarily from our San Diego office.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Annual salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000.
Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including location, expertise, experience, and qualifications.
Singleton Schreiber, LLP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which includes employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, childcare reimbursement, home office stipends, transportation reimbursement, paid parental leave, and a 401k plan with employer contributions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee discovery processes, including drafting and responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, and evaluating intricate documents.
- Draft and prepare legal instruments, such as pleadings and complex motions.
- Conduct legal research.
- Represent clients in court, from status conferences to trials.
- Engage in case strategy discussions and contribute creative solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on various cases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law institution.
- Active legal license to practice in California.
- 0-3 years of experience in litigation.
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with E-Discovery and legal software such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal.
- Detail-oriented, organized, a reliable team player, capable of multitasking and managing several urgent projects under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
