Faculty Position in Applied Physiology for Veterinary Medicine

Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to lead the development and implementation of the first year of the DVM curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering the physiology curriculum in the team-taught Healthy Animal course series, set to begin in Fall 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver the physiology curriculum in the Healthy Animal course series
- Develop assessment strategies in alignment with the overall competency-based curriculum
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure integration of knowledge and skills across years and courses
- Actively engage in student-centered instruction, coaching, and mentorship
- Aid in procurement of state-of-the-art teaching equipment and technology for the curriculum
- Serve on CVM and campus committees as appointed or elected
- DVM, PhD, or equivalent degree
- 3-plus years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine or education
- Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACVIM, ABVP, ACT, etc)
- Experience and a history of excellence in teaching foundational science
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
