ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering rehabilitation services to individuals in a correctional environment.
- Implement exercise programs as directed by the Physical Therapist, including progression of exercises, use of available equipment, and application of manual techniques as necessary.
- Align treatment plans with documented goals.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatment and modify exercises and interventions as needed.
- Recognize changes in patient conditions and inform the Physical Therapist for necessary reassessment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses.
- Foster a professional relationship with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere through effective communication.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all security protocols for medical personnel in a correctional setting as per departmental policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state.
- Compliance with initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
