Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing safe and effective mammography services to patients
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
  • Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Obtain and verify patient information, including medical history and contraindications
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Current ARRT registration in mammography and radiography
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a radiologic technologist, with less than 1 year in mammography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a mammography department
  • Knowledge of mammography equipment and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service skills
