Podiatrist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to join our team at the Indian Health Service. As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive podiatry and wound care services to patients in the outpatient and inpatient departments.
Key Responsibilities- Provides comprehensive podiatry and wound care services to patients
- Reviews and interprets results of laboratory and other diagnostic tests
- Directs, prescribes or provides therapeutic treatment using various podiatric techniques
- Monitors progress, makes therapeutic treatment modifications/adjustments and provide follow-ups as necessary
- Performs specialized procedures in outpatient treatment room
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from a school of podiatric medicine accredited by the American Podiatric Medical Association's Council on Podiatric Medical Education
- Passed the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners (NBPME) or the American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination (APMLE)
- Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice podiatric medicine in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- One or more full years of experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, in the practice of podiatry in an office, clinic, or hospital
- Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957
- Seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities
- COVID-19 vaccination is required for all selectees prior to entrance on duty
Please note that this position is covered by a Bargaining Unit and may be eligible for recruitment or relocation incentives. At least a 6 month service agreement will be required.
