Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team at ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Inc. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. You will also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Accurately remove and stock product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
  • Warehouse Operations: Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
  • Packing and Shipping: Picking, processing, and packing orders, and may be required to cut orders on a saw.
  • Cycle Counts: Complete cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Quality Control: Identify, hold, and segregate defective material.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required.
  • Housekeeping: Perform general clean up and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift and report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel. Participate in and support all health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives and requirements.
  • Teamwork: Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Language: Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Experience: Previous forklift experience.
  • Safety Mindset: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping motions.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Use of handheld measuring tools.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
