As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing clinical activities, developing departmental goals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Direct and manage the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, aligning with the hospital's strategic plan and medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring that the nursing department operates within allocated funds.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
- Emergency Room experience with an emphasis in Behavioral Health preferred.
