USPI, a leading provider of ambulatory surgical services, is seeking a Per Diem PACU RN to join our team. As a Per Diem PACU RN at USPI, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Job Summary:

Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients of any age in the PACU department. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Follows policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for perioperative nursing care according to accepted standards.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates pre and post-operative nursing care for patients based on individual, specific patient needs, and according to physician's orders.
  • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of intravenous therapy, medication administration and effects, patient assessment, airway maintenance, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families, and other needed clinical competencies.

The estimated salary for this position is around $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must have at least 1-3 years of previous experience in PreOp/PACU.
  • Current RN license in the state of Wyoming.
  • Current BLS and ACLS.
