About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at SKF. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the inspection and assembly of finished and semi-finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assemble products using sub-assemblies and components in compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Approve finished goods within specifications prior to packaging and shipment to customers.
  • Perform normal inspection checks using various equipment, including micrometers, air columns, and thread gauges.
  • Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on specified tolerances.
  • Complete visual inspections and make acceptance or rejection decisions based on findings.
  • Move and position parts, containers, and equipment as required for inspection or assembly operations.
  • Meet quality and quantity requirements.
  • Collect and record data on various company documents and computer transactions.
  • Accurately complete all associated documents and records required in inspection and assembly procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and coworkers to pass on significant information.
  • Assist in the training and development of new employees.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have acceptable eyesight as defined by customer specifications.
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications, understand standard notes, symbols, and instructions.
  • Prior manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
