About the Job:
TotalMed is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Care Coordinator for Intensive Care Unit Recovery, you will provide specialized nursing care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units. This role requires strong communication and adaptability skills, with a focus on monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
Requirements:
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Two years of recent Step Down experience.
