If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Field Diesel Mechanic at United Rentals.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team as a Field Diesel Mechanic. As a Field Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned equipment with limited or no supervision. You will work independently, using your skills and knowledge to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned equipment with limited or no supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Upsell and demonstrate complex equipment to customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of customer-owned equipment, maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
