Qualifications

We require candidates to have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in adult echocardiogram sonography. Required credentials include:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)

Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Epic software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound procedures. This role is crucial in providing cardiologists with precise measurements and high-quality images of cardiac structures, facilitating accurate diagnoses. Immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to healthcare professionals is essential for timely treatment interventions.

The technologist will assist physicians during complex procedures, which may include tasks in various settings such as operating rooms and hybrid labs. This includes support for procedures like TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and SAVR (Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement).

Safety Considerations

This position is classified as safety-sensitive. Under relevant legislation, employers may refuse to hire or may discipline employees in safety-sensitive roles if they test positive for marijuana, even with a valid medical marijuana license.

Important Notes

Compensation and Benefits

Pay packages are based on 9-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipends to be determined.
