Job Overview

Frequently, organizations require an HR Generalist to facilitate smooth operations and ensure compliance with employment laws. As a Human Resources Generalist at Fetch Veterinary, you will play a vital role in supporting the human resources department.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. You will be responsible for coordinating employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate applicant tracking system activities, create offer letters, and manage drug screens, reference checks, background checks, and social security number verification.
  • Assist with setting up, maintaining, and migrating employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and full integration of multiple systems into a new HRIS system.
  • Manage employee performance evaluation processes and administer training and development initiatives.
  • Support other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high level of motivation, proactivity, and self-direction, with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, empathy, cultural awareness, and diplomacy.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and current employment laws.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools, proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Human Resources software.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
