Job Summary

The Supervisory Recreation Therapist is responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation programs at the Veterans Health Administration. This position requires a strong background in recreation therapy and the ability to manage a team of therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for veterans
  • Supervise a team of recreation therapists
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the rehabilitation department
Requirements
  • Master's degree in recreation therapy or a related field
  • Current certification as a recreation therapist
  • At least 5 years of experience in recreation therapy
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a healthcare setting and may involve exposure to infectious diseases. The Supervisory Recreation Therapist must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
