Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the primary healthcare team to deliver essential medical care services to patients, adhering to established standards for Internal Medicine.
  • Request laboratory and radiology tests, and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
  • Evaluate medical records, test results, and examination findings to accurately diagnose patient conditions and recommend treatment options.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans for documented medical conditions.
  • Discuss potential side effects of prescribed treatments with patients, ensuring all allergy information is current.
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle and dietary modifications that may enhance patient health or address specific health concerns.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures, focusing on quality improvement and compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant health information privacy regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in providing primary care and diagnostic services within a clinical environment.
  • Proficient in prescribing suitable medications and treatment regimens for various health issues.
  • Experience in collaborating with specialists to assess and diagnose patient health conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team of healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Primary Care Physician role, excluding residency, with the following credentials:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution in the United States.
  • Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare facility.
  • Board certification in primary care or a related specialty.
  • Valid State Medical Practitioner License.
  • Current registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) for prescription authority.
