Patient Service Representative

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - West (West Orange) is a reputable rehabilitation hospital committed to providing excellent patient care and services. As a patient service representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient support throughout their treatment journey.
Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, answering phone calls, processing patient intake, and verifying insurance coverage. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and supporting therapists and therapy assistants as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Process patient data entry, verify insurance coverage, and obtain pre-authorization for treatments
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain up-to-date calendars
- Assist with front office operations, including cash handling and fund deposits
- Collaborate with therapists and therapy assistants as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; relevant field preferred
- Proven customer service experience essential for success in this role
- Prior medical office experience necessary for this position
Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
