Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of the Store Management Team, the Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets. This position involves supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving revenue, delivering outstanding customer service, recruiting exceptional talent, and mentoring the team. Collaborating closely with the Store Manager, the Retail Operations Supervisor ensures adherence to company policies, operational directives, and the maintenance of store standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to the overall success of the store by meeting sales objectives while also achieving personal sales targets.
  • Assists the Store Manager in managing daily store functions; in the absence of the Store Manager, assumes responsibility for all store operations.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing customer needs, ensuring that team members represent the brand positively in all interactions.
  • Builds strong client relationships and drives sales through proactive client engagement and outreach.
  • Maintains effective communication with the Store Manager regarding personal goals, team development, and daily operations.
  • Supports training, coaching, and motivating team members to maximize sales performance.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of store operations and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assists in recruiting and retaining top talent to support business growth.
  • Helps manage payroll and scheduling to ensure optimal staffing based on business demands.
  • Implements directives from Visual Merchandising, Operations, and Marketing, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
  • Ensures adherence to Loss Prevention policies and assists with audits and inventory management to safeguard the store against losses.
Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of relevant sales experience in specialty or luxury retail, with a minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Driven by career advancement, with a strong work ethic and high performance standards.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in cash register operations and adherence to cash handling protocols.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Repetitive hand movements while operating cash registers or computers.
  • Regular interaction with customers in a bustling retail environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using office equipment (computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers).
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Capability to climb ladders as necessary.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required, often with little notice.
